LIVE PILLHEADS
 

"LIVE PILLHEADS" is the new live record of Paolo Baltaro, former leader of Arcansiel and Societa' Anonima Decostruzionismi Organici (S.A.D.O.). It comprises ten songs recorded during a one night stand debut in Italy at the Officine Sonore (Vercelli, February 2018) with his new band, the Pillheads. The full concert is also available on video, shooted by the director Phil Strongman who recently released the documentary Malcom McLaren and Vivienne Westwood Gang. Some of the numbers come originally from his solo records Low fare flight to the earth and The day after the night before, some are taken from the repertory of his former bands. A new unreleased song (Brightest moon) is included. The Rock, Blues, Psychedelia, Progressive and jazzy experimental mash-up that feature on the album is pure Paolo's style. This is his third solo album, two years after "The day after the night before", and follows previously released records with Arcansiel, Mhmm, Roulette Cinese, S.A.D.O., Sound Wall Project and Sorella Maldestra. Paolo sings and plays guitar this time, with the Pillheads (Andrea Becccaro, Daniele Mignone, Simone Morandotti and Andrea Orru'). All songs are original compositions by Paolo, except a crazy version of Bike by Syd Barrett and the prog suite Angel Of March, by Marco Galletti, founder of the Arcansiel.

"LIVE PILLHEADS" e' il nuovo disco dal vivo del produttore polistrumentista Paolo Baltaro, gia' leader degli Arcansiel e Societa' Anonima Decostruzionismi Organici (S.A.D.O.). Il disco e' formato da dieci brani registrati durante il concerto di debutto della sua nuova band, i Pillheads, tenutosi in Italia alle Officine Sonore (Vercelli, febbraio 2018). L’intero concerto e' anche disponibile in video, a firma del regista inglese Phil Strongman che ha diretto le riprese, a pochi mesi dalla pubblicazione del documentario Malcom McLaren and Vivienne Westwood Gang. I brani sono tratti dal repertorio dei gruppi a cui Paolo ha fatto parte piu' un brano inedito (Brightest moon). Paolo Baltaro persegue nello stile personale al quale ci ha abituato muovendosi fra Rock, Progressive, Blues, Psichedelia e improvvisazione sperimentale. Questo album e' il terzo che Paolo realizza a suo nome, a due anni dal precedente "The day after the night before", oltre a quelli realizzati con Arcansiel, Mhmm, S.A.D.O., Roulette Cinese, Sound Wall Project e Sorella Maldestra. Questa volta Paolo e' voce e chitarra, con i suoi Pillheads: Andrea Beccaro, Daniele Mignone, Simone Morandotti e Andrea Orru'. Tutti i brani sono originali, eccetto Bike di Syd Barrett e la suite prog Angel Of March, scritta da Marco Galletti, ex tastierista e fondatore degli Arcansiel.
